Billboard Exclusive: Wiwek Reworks Devilish 'Rebels' in China With Local MCs Al Rocco & Blow Fever

Wiwek's “Rebels” was already pretty damn hard with slick lyrics and collaborative production from London rap-dance duo Audio Bullys. With a beating hardstyle rhythm and Audio Bully's '90s-house flow, it was a high-octane punch in the air, and yet Wiwek still found room to grow.

On a recent trip to China, the Dutch DJ and producer took time to hit the studio with local MCs Al Rocco and Blow Fever who had just what it took to turn “Rebels” into an even darker, more devilish tune. East meets West as Wiwek reworks the chiming melody into a more Asian soundscape, while deeper drums and a trap-style beat turn the track into a curb-hugging, leaned-out monster of a remix.

This VIP version is even stickier than the original, and while Wiwek plans to release it to fans in a few days, you can get a first taste below exclusively on Billboard Dance.
